1. What’s New?

The 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport gets a few updates inside and out. There are new LED headlights, a revised front fascia, and a refreshed interior. The cabin is now trimmed in black leather and features a new steering wheel design. The Rogue Sport comes standard with NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Mobile Apps, which includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. A new 8-inch touchscreen display is standard on the center console, while navigation maps are displayed on the instrument panel. The Rogue Sport also receives a new 2.0-liter engine rated at 182 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. The base model starts at $24,990 (before incentives), while the top trim level adds $1,000 for the Premium Package ($27,490).

2. Engine & Transmission

The Rogue Sport uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to either a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or six-speed manual gearbox. The CVT is optional on the base model, while the six-speed manual is standard. In addition to the two powertrains, the Rogue Sport offers three trims: S, SV, and SL. The base model comes equipped with a CVT, while the SV and SL get a six-speed manual transmission. All models feature a standard rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and cruise control.

3. Safety Features

Standard safety features on the Rogue Sport include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Optional safety features include pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and surround view parking assist.

4. Interior

Inside, the Rogue Sport gets a redesigned dashboard with a new steering wheel and shifter knob. The seats are covered in black leather, while the door panels and armrests are trimmed in gray. The Rogue Sport also gets a new eight-inch touch screen display with NissanConnectSM with NaviGoTM, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto. The center stack displays information about the vehicle’s status, including fuel economy and battery charge. Other features include air conditioning, heated front seats, and remote start.

5. Technology

NissanConnectSM with NaviGO is standard on all Rogue Sport trims. It includes a 6.9-inch touchscreen display with satellite radio, Pandora streaming, voice recognition, text messaging, and email capabilities. The system also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. The system includes a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, which can connect up to seven devices simultaneously.

6. Pricing & Availability

The 2018 Rogue Sport goes on sale this fall. MSRP ranges from $23,890 to $29,690 before destination charges.
