While the Corvette drag car always runs in the 10-second range, this Mustang is in a separate league from Chevy’s iconic sports car.
Drag Racing And Car Stuff is a popular YouTube channel with a large following. Almost every week, they release videos primarily featuring some of the best drag racers in the world competing on the quarter-mile strip with their skills and motors.
Their most recent video release features a Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray taking on an S197 Ford Mustang under the lights, with stunning results. While this Corvette is still considered fast in its own right, it leaves with its tail tucked between its legs after a poor performance.

This powerful Corvette Drag Car hits the track.

The C8, as the name suggests, is Chevrolet’s eighth-generation Corvette, and it was a departure from previous models due to its mid-engine design. Because of its almost supercar design, power, and performance, it’s a very desirable car.

The Z06 frequently draws the most attention because it is the most powerful, with 670 hp as standard. But the Stingray is no slouch, and it’s reported that the car at the center of the video has 523 hp under the hood.

Action Auto Care owns this stunning white Corvette Stingray and has recently clocked impressive times and speeds on the track. Street Car Takeover, which takes place at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida, is in for some late-night action.
As stated in the video’s title, there is a density altitude of 1,000 feet, which is likely to slow down the times. Despite the adverse conditions, this Corvette drag car is producing excellent results.

On the Drag Strip, Corvette vs Mustang

The video begins with a bang as this Corvette C8 Stingray approaches the starting line. It warms up in 10.34 seconds and reaches speeds of over 129 mph. However, there will be an even better opportunity on the second attempt. For the subsequent trial, the Corvette C8 Stingray switches lanes and achieves 10.31 seconds and 130 mph. It performs a third run, reaching 10.39 seconds and 130 mph.
This car would undoubtedly be a formidable opponent on the quarter-mile strip. But it’s up against a rather special 5th-generation Ford Mustang in its fourth outing at Bradenton Motorsports Park.
The Corvette C8 Stingray from Action Auto Care achieves a best time of 10.29 seconds and 131 mph. That’s not enough to beat the Mustang, which roars off the line with incredible acceleration and reaches 167.6 mph in 7.95 seconds. Despite the setback, this Corvette drag car is still one to watch on the track.

Drag Racing Faceoff: Corvette C8 Stingray Takes on S197 Ford Mustang

Drag racing has become a popular pastime for car enthusiasts all over the world, with fans eager to see the best of the best compete against one another on the quarter-mile strip. YouTube channel Drag Racing And Car Stuff is one such platform that caters to fans of drag racing, with videos featuring some of the most impressive and powerful cars out there.

In their latest video release, the focus is on a Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray and an S197 Ford Mustang, both legendary vehicles in their own right. The Corvette C8 Stingray is the eighth generation of Corvette built by Chevrolet, and it features a mid-engine design, making it highly sought after by car enthusiasts. With its sleek supercar-like design and impressive power and performance, the C8 Stingray is a highly desirable car.

The version that often gets the most attention, however, is the Z06, which boasts an impressive 670 horsepower as stock. But in this particular video, the focus is on the Stingray, which is owned by Action Auto Care and boasts an impressive 523 horsepower. The car has been performing well on the track, with impressive times and speeds.

The video is shot at Street Car Takeover, an event taking place at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida, which attracts car enthusiasts from all over the world. The conditions are not ideal, with a density altitude of 1,000 ft, which can impede the times. Despite this, the Corvette drag car puts in some excellent numbers on its initial runs.

The video shows the Corvette C8 Stingray getting warmed up on the start line, with an initial time of 10.34 seconds and a speed of over 129 mph. The second attempt is even better, with the car switching lanes and achieving a time of 10.31 seconds and 130 mph. The car goes for a third run, reaching 10.39 seconds and 130 mph.

While it’s clear that the Corvette C8 Stingray is a formidable opponent on the quarter-mile strip, it’s up against a rather special 5th-generation Ford Mustang in its fourth run. The Mustang roars off the start line with unbelievable acceleration and achieves a mind-blowing 7.95 seconds and a monstrous speed of 167.6 mph, leaving the Corvette in its wake.

Despite the loss, the Corvette drag car is still one to watch out for on the track, with its consistent 10-second runs and impressive speeds. However, this Mustang is in a league of its own, showcasing incredible acceleration and speed that sets it apart from even the most powerful of sports cars.
