The Honda HR-V is a compact crossover SUV that was first introduced in 2012.
It is the second generation model after the previous generation (2010–2012) and the third generation model since its introduction in 2002.
The HR-V is produced at Honda's Swindon factory in the United Kingdom.
The HR-V shares its platform with the Mazda CX-9 and Ford Escape.
In addition to these two competitors, the HR-V competes with the Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Volkswagen Tiguan, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Chevrolet Traverse, Subaru Forester, and Jeep Renegade.
The HR-V comes in three trim levels: LX, EX, and Touring.
